goodbye summer.

well it's official, summer is over and back to work I go. I can't complain too much though, my summer has been amazing, definitely one of the best I've ever had. it was spent with so many people I love and I wouldn't trade any of those moments for anything.

some of the highlights:

one of three camp fires at the beach.
reconnected with a good friend since second grade.
one of the best river trips ever.
a fourth of july spent with some great people.
i went to Florida to spend time with family.
i got to experience best concert of my life. (i'll be sharing more pictures later)
i went on a lot of drives & hikes.
spent a good amount of time with people who mean the world to me.
& reminisced our younger days ;)
bumped cans with my neighbor, yeah.
and spent the summer nannying two little boys who have a piece of my heart forever.

i have so many more things in store for this year and next, (i promise i'll be sharing some exciting news soon) i hope you continue to come on my journey with me.

time well wasted.

when I was a few months old my parents took me to the river for the first time, and since then I've been every year of my life. it's my favorite place. i love the hot air blowing on my face when we take boat rides, eating popsicles that tickle my throat, riding my bike barefoot around the camp ground, the goose bumps I get walking into our motorhome cause the ac is on full blast.. the palm trees, night walks, searching for crawdads and donkeys, it all makes me feel right at home. i wouldn't trade all my memories there for anything in the world. a piece of my heart will always belong to the colorado river.

summer fun for two year olds.

i'm a nanny to two, two year old boys. i'm so happy that the weather is warming up and we can do more things outside. i figured even though i'm not a mom myself, i can still share some ideas.
my favorite is a water table. this age is so fun to play in the water with, just prepare for some soaked clothes. it's definitely a good activity for super warm days.
