sunday drives.

drives by myself are my favorite. the radio up and the windows down. or the radio off and my mind wandering. it's peaceful. it's my own time. I think. I figure life out (or at least I try to). I inspire myself. Sunday's are the best day for these drives, I prepare myself for the week, for Monday. I think everyone needs these times, even if it's only a fifteen minute moment. it can do wonders. 

birthday round two.

on Sunday morning I woke up early picked up my same named companion (aka my best friend) and we drove to joshua tree national park. we hiked a couple hikes and saw lots of joshua trees. then we drove all the way to Palm Springs. we stayed at the most colorful hotel, laid by the pool, rode bikes, had drinks, swam, people watched, and just enjoyed the hotel life. it went by way too fast but it was definitely the best twenty first birthday.

new look.

now my blog is over here. well my christmas break is officially over. back to being a full time preschool associate, part time nanny. it's hard to get into the swing of things. i only got my full time job a month or so before vacation and i still quite wasn't used to it. now i have to get used to it all over again. the days kinda blurred by and i felt like i was constantly moving and didn't breathe. i guess thats how things happen sometimes until you get used to balancing things better. which is what i plan to do this new year. figure it all out. new year. new start.

p.s. new year, new start, new look. my blog got spruced up a little, thanks to the lovely hunter. i love it. it's simple, yet pretty. it gives me the inspiration to blog more. i'm excited to see where this blog takes me. and i can't wait to meet more of you along the way.

sunday best.

it didn't feel like january today. although i wish it were snowing all day, everyday this season. today was pretty lovely. i went to church and then me and my same named companion took a walk with her pug and then adventured around a railroad track near our town. the sun was shining but there was still a cool breeze. perfect.
